Zombies Rise from Hell to Support the Mad as Hell Doctors!

The Mad as Hell Doctors tour was joined on its Chicago visit by a group of the undead, who shared the Doctors enthusiasm for Universal Single Payer Health Care. The zombies were a hit with the crowd, posing for photos with other supporters of universal health care. This was the zombies largest action yet, with a lucky seven living dead demanding healthcare and brains.

Stay tuned for future actions or start your own! Descend upon your congressional representatives office, flier at Zombie movies or make a zombie movie and demand a government run health care plan for all to stop the spread of infectious diseases such as h1n1, the NAFTA superflu and the Zombie virus.

When Hell is Full.... The Doctors Will be Mad and the Zombies Will Rise!

The Mad as Hell Doctors Tour is spreading throughout the country, raising awareness about the need for a health care system that places people over corporate profits.

They will be joined in Chicago by a horde of Zombies who will demand a universal single payer health system.

Join the living dead as we rise up from hell and demand health care!

Wear makeup and fake blood, bring a mask! We will have make up if you don't have any! We will have signs, but feel free to bring your own!

Success! Zombies Descend Upon Town Hall, Make Evening News Scary!

While Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky held a forum on health care in Skokie, hundreds outside rallied for and against health care reform.
On the side of the pro-health care reform, were a small cadre of the undead. While few in number, they were able to spread their zombie virus at the town hall forum.

Some wore make up, while students wore masks, and all held signs that read, "Universal Single Payer Health Care is the Only Way to Stop the Zombie Apocalypse" and "Blue Cross Would not Cover our Zombie Bites!" The Zombies were interviewed by many mainstream news organizations, making it on WGN news Chicago with the message that "Private health insurance companies are scary!" The Zombies posed for many photos with people who were grateful not to be devoured by the living dead.

The Zombies attempted to devour the brains of the anti-health reform crowd, but the zombies soon realized that the anti-health reform crowd had no brains and sought sustenance elsewhere.

Take Action to Stop the Zombie Apocalypse: Support Single Payer Universal Health Care!

The Zombie hordes are upon us. As the undead shamble across our world, devouring humans and spreading their disease, we find the private health insurance companies to be woefully inadequate in preventing the Zombie outbreak from spreading to apocalyptic proportions.

Only a universal single payer health care system would stop the Zombie Apocalypse. Under the private insurance companies, many people who are bitten by Zombies, can not afford to see a doctor who would be able to treat the bite and prevent that person from becoming a Zombie. It seems that the Undead Panels are the Billing Departments of the Insurance Companies, denying care to the poor simply because they can not afford it.

A universal single payer system would guarantee that all are provided medical treatment by creating a national public health insurance, which covers all the needs of everyone. Patients would still have a choice of doctor and hospital, and the cost would be paid by the government.

Many say that this will mean a raise on taxes. Maybe, if you make more than a million dollars a year. A small progressive income tax hike on the richest of the rich, people like Bill Gates, George Soros and Donald Trump, would more than cover the cost of providing health care to all and preventing a Zombie outbreak. Alternatively, the war in Iraq could be ended and the money spent on the war could be redirected towards health care for all. Besides, isn't a small tax raise a small price to pay to prevent

A Zombie epidemic would be tragic, brother would devour brother, society would collapse, and the smell would be horrendous. However all of this can be thwarted if we allow for those who are sick to be able to gain the health care they need, and prevent the spread of such diseases.

That is why we are calling on the victims of the Zombie virus, and the victims of the Health Insurance Industry, to stand up and speak out in support of single payer universal health care. Organize Zombie rallies, picket at Town Hall meetings in full zombie garb, forward this to your friends and organize for equal healthcare for all!

Take pictures and videos and send them to admin@stopthezombieapocalypse.com so we can post them on this website!

Frequently Asked Questions

But Zombies Are Not Real?

Neither are Iraq's Weapon's of Mass Destruction, yet we got a war there.

Why are you politicizing Zombie Walks? We just want to have undead fun!

Zombie movies have always had progressive political and social satire in them. From the Voodoo zombie movies critiques of Imperialism, to George Romero's Dead movies and to Shaun of the Dead and 21 days later. Class, gender, and race conscious themes have appeared time and again, critical of the military, consumerism and other aspects of modern American life. We are continuing that tradition in a more pro-active way.

Are you parodying Right Wingers who attend Town Hall meetings?

We don't have to, they do that themselves.

How do I organize a Zombie Health Care Event?

Gather some friends who care about health care and/or are zombie movie fans, set a day and time, put on makeup, and show up. Make it some place relevant. A congresspersons office, a health insurance companies head quarters, a town hall hearing, a pro- or anti- health reform rally. Announce it on facebook, and/or the local newspapers before you go. Take pictures and video, post them online and follow up. Share. Invite more of your friends.
